I never took the straight road to filmmaking. I started with code, then worked nights behind a bar, learning how nights flow and how honesty shows up when no one is looking.
Film starts with listening. To the space, the light, and the people in front of the camera. Sets should feel calm and human, never mechanical.
Sometimes it’s just me and a camera. Sometimes it’s a full crew with Nora Maafa Photography and me building something bigger. Either way, I stay close to the process because that’s where the good things happen.
Every frame matters. I’m not interested in content that just fills a feed. I want images that stay with you for a moment after you’ve watched them.
